Rabba Main Toh Mar Gaya Oye-Shahid Mallya

The album opens in a brilliant note with ’Rabba Main Toh Mar Gaye oye’. The music played at the beginning has a very haunting feel to it .The lyrics too are quit poetic and have a very soothing feel to them .The song has all the tapings of an evergreen number .It grips you from the first hearing itself .At the end you are sure to get hooked up to the point of giving it a second consecutive listen .This love song makes you fall in love with it .A complete gem !

Sajh Dhaj Ke-Mika Singh and Pankaj Kapoor

Rustic! That’s the most apt word to describe ‘Sajh Dhaj Ke’ .The song is set in a rural atmosphere and lyrics are in complete sync with them .The song is about how someone who has travelled to the city has forgotten about his roots .Quite a fun number, it makes you groove throughout its duration .

Ik Tu Hi Tu Hi-Hans Raj Hans

A slow number which narrates the circumstances where the lovers have drifted apart .It takes its own sweet time to grow .Hans Raj Hans sounds quite tragic here and his voice only takes the song to another level .But this song may not be everyone’s cup of tea .

Poore Se Zara Sa Kam Hain-Rashid Khan

The sad mood in the album continues with Poore Se Zara Sa Kam Hain. The song beautifully portrays the mindset of a lover who is going through a turbulent phase .

Mausam - Aag Lage Us Aag Ko –Karsan Sargathia A strictly situational number that can hope to click if the film connects with the audience .Audiowise it does not really have much going for it .

Mallo Malli-Tochi Raina

A pleasant surprise! So far all the songs were either slow or romantic. This song brings the much needed variety in the album for it is a contemporary number and reminds you of previous hits of Pritam –Shahid combo. Should work big time after the video is out .

Mausam - Rabba Main Toh Mar Gaya Oye (II)-Rahet Fateh Ali Khan

Rabba is so far the best song in the album and with Rahet Khan singing the second version of this song , it goes only a step further.5/5

Overall Mausam ranks amongst Pritam’s most accomplished works .Give it a try .This album is especially meant for those who are in a relationship .
