So, the much awaited 'Matrix Revolutions', the sequel to 'Matrix Reloaded' is finally out.As it turns out,it was a bit of an unexpected thing for most, and since everyone is already busy forming their opinions,i thought .....Why not share mine with you?

THE CAST

Morpheaus:Laurence Fishburne

Neo:Keanu Reeves

Trinity:Carrie Anne Moss

Agent Smith:Hugo Weaving

Niobe:Jada Pinkett Smith (I wont waste time, introducing characters as all who would be reading this will already have the background to be even mildly interested.Theres no change in characters from the second part).

THE BASIC STORY

The story commences with Neo getting lost in a world between the machines and humans, apparently controlled by the villanous frenchman, Meryl Vingeon from 'Reloaded'.However, Morpheaus and co.get him out of there without much fuss,as part of an 'interesting deal'. The Oracle tells Neo,that Smith,an old enemy is his equal and opposite, who's going to possess enough power soon to reign supreme soon. Will Neo be able to stop him?She doesn't know. Neo has visions,--ones he can't explain, but he realises that he must get to the machine city soon, before its too late. There is a difference of opinion here, but eventually Capt. Niobe lets him go on her ship. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew head for Zion, which is under massive attack from the machines and they do stop them...but only temporarily. On the other hand, Neo and Trinity fight their way to the machine world,Neo again showing how the erraneous humanoid program within him enabled him to do things others couldn't.However Trinity is lost in the fiasco. Its an emotional moment for Neo,but he has a job on his hands. He realises he and Smith are 2 unbalanced equations of the matrix, the source can't control. So,he strikes a deal with the source, that he would eliminate Smith reducing the imbalance,in return he wanted peace between humans and machines. And if he failed,he would be dissemanated like the rules for all programs in the matrix. Hence, ensues a battle between Smith and Neo in the virtual world with some mouthopening action in the 'Reloaded' mould. Both equally matched but would they cancel out like in a chemical equation?Neo realises soon, that its not so.More like matter and antimatter coming together to create more energy.Besides he was only one,and Smith had copied himself to so many programs.Only one way to stop him.....Which way?....Why not watch the movie and find out yourself. No fun knowing the critical part beforehand.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

CONCEPT:Conceptwise, I would rate this movie the best of the 3 matrix flicks,a fine mix of Physics and computers,it is very conclusive removing all your previous apprehensions. And the concept behind the ending (from where I left off),simply fascinating!

SPEED:In terms of pace it is pretty well matched with its predecessor,'Reloaded'.With loads of events taking place one after the other in no time,an inherent feature of all matrix flicks.

ACTION:There are 2 aspects to this,in terms of quantity, nothing has diminished, loads of action to lose yourself in.In terms of quality, well if if you prefer more of the computerised action as in the second part,i guess this movie will be found wanting, except in the latter stages.

HUMOUR:Well, there is some of it to begin with, but as the movie goes on,situations get more serious, not as much of it like we saw in the second part at regular intervels.

ACTING:Well, Keanu Reeves was gr8 as usual, like Pierce Brosnan in Bond films ,Keanu fits into his role very well in Matrix films,as if he was made for it. Smith(Hugo) on the other hand, has played a very good negative role in all 3 movies throughout,a compulsive, obsessed villian.

DIRECTION: Was pretty good. The Wachowski Bros. had to portray maximum no.of ideas to the people here in this movie and they have been very much up to their tasks, both the action and the concept was depicted well.

OTHER POINTS WORTH NOTING

1.Firstly,it is not a flick for those who haven't watched the preceding movies.Must be clear by now.A treat for matrix lovers though.

2.If you liked the second part more for the action, you may not like this as much.

3.This movie unlike the second one shows Trinity having a more active role than in the second, and Morpheaus having a negligible role.Emphasises more on saving Zion, more than ever before.

4.The ending is a bit unexpected and the situation preceding it very intriguing.

5.I thought this movie would slam the door on successor films, not quite the case.Situations are such at the end, that the possibility of a next part isn't completely out of the question. Can be done.
