Good place. Review on Matheran

We had been to Matheran in the month of May inspite of my friends advising me against it as according to them May is not the best month for Matheran. After going through various sites I opted for Preeti Hotel at it suited my pockedand was glad I did. I got a package of Rs.750 p/p per day with meals included. It has the best location just opposite the station but behind the station road which is very quite and peaceful. The premises is quite big better than Rangoli Retreat and other places who charge a bomb. They had installed swings, see-saws, etc even for elders where you can just sit and relax and would never know how many hours have passed by. Good rooms and bathrooms. Meant only for families so no nuisance of drunkards.

The food they serve is something to be looked forward to even before the normal meal hours, delicious gujrati food which you would not want to miss. There is nothing much to see in Matheran. All the places are nearby and can be covered on foot. The weather was pleasant and no sweating at all. Sunglasses or even caps not required as wherever you go the roads are covered with a canopy of tall spreaded trees.You can take a Karjat local train tillNeral and from there can hop into a toy train which takes more than 2 hrs to reach.Please do the advance booking for the toy train as during peak season it would be difficult to get a ticket.
