I have purchased a new Swift VXI on December 2011 from Khivraj Motors at Adyar, Chennai. My car brakes does not function well while driving through slow moving traffic. Brake pedal becomes hard to apply once it has been used a couple of times (now it occurs very frequently) while driving at speeds under 20 kilometers. Raised this issue several times to Guindy service center and also directly spoke with Mr.Narayanan, TSM, Chennai.

But he simply said, it is not a problem, but a system. He called this system as 'Anti Slagging (or Slogging) System'. He said, "it can't be rectified and if you don't like this system, you can sell the car and buy a Diesel version". I don't know what to do. I have met several small accidents so for. Got lot of scratches and dents while parking in slopes as well. I came to know that thousands of New Maruti Swift car owners also facing the same problem. Now I am not using my car. Being a Maruti customer from past 6 years I was having a faith which is now all shattered as I feel that Maruti is now least concern on customer and public safety. Maruti seems that it doesn't like to take this issue as a brake problem, but a system (something called 'Anti Slagging System').

I have no other option than selling my car at 2 lakhs loss for just 8 months use.
