I was waiting for a fuel efficient, reliable, good service, low cost maintenance Diesel vehicle as my average running will be 2K kms per month in the 5L range.
Tried for second hand Accent CRDi but no luck.
Finally Swift Diesel introduced, test drove, read reviews and decided this is the car for me.
Got this delivered after 3.5 months waiting peirod in Bangalore.
Now, after running 2100Kms in a month here is the report
*Mileage
*I got 26KMPL in my first refill which is 99% high way/non-city traffic and no A/C. In the subsequent refills I got 25.5 and 25 KMPL with 10-20% A/C. Bangalore City driving conditions mileage is not so good it is just 15.5 KMPL.
Handling and Drive
It is a awesome car to drive. I am enjoying it. It simply zooms, so much confidence it gives to over take in Highways.
Inside cabin is calm, quite, smooth ride in good roads. You do not feel like you are going at 100KMPH.no engine noise at all. Roads with patches, holes there is a little tyre noise and little bumpy in the rear seat.
*Over all the car is great

I thought it is appropriate to update the review at this time(also I have some time)
To say it one word .It is Awsome!
*Issues so far:
*- I had rattling issues fixed by MASS
- Had some noise coming from the front wheel while turning, again fixed by MASS
*Fuel Efficiency:
*Now a days I am getting 22-24 KMPL on highway driving with partial A/C. I cruise in 80 -100 kmph range with RPM around 2000 and changed gears around the same RPM
In Blore city I get around 16-18KMPL
IOC Xtra mile gives better mileage and tried HP Normal, HP Turbo jet gave 2 kmpl less.
Handling:It is as good as before. I drive 350 kms one way to my hometown takes around 7 hours(including breaks) and never felt tired. It is a breeze to drive
As others mentioned while turning you need to be careful as there is blind spot due to the Front pillers.
I touched max speed of 135 kmph with 4 adults with A/C. It zooms ahead without any trouble.
*Suspension/Ride Quality:
*Very good for front even in bumpy roads.
Not so for rear passengers in bumpy roads
On Smooth roads? No question need to be asked. You will feel like you are sitting in your home sofa. It is smooth sailing.
*Customer Care/Support:
*Excellent customer care and support by Maruti and it is dealers. Always I felt important by them. I salute maruti for building such a wonderful dealer network with courteous service people.
