I have been waiting for a while to write a review for my Swift Dzire car. I remember 2 years ago I have seen this car in a Ganesh temple at Koramangala and I was very much impressed by this car.Then I started enquiring about the car None of the dealer is ready to take a booking as the waiting period was minimum 6 months .I have enquired Sagar, Kalyani, Mandovi and RNS. None of the dealers were willing to take a booking. I have decided in my mind and willing to wait for the car even though the waiting period is for six months.
I have decided to see the test drive for the Vehicle and one Sales Executive(Satish) from Bimal arranged for test Drive he has shown me the ZDI version of the car and I am very much impressed by the car and gave booking for a VDI model. Unfortunately I could not able to take delivery of the vehicle within 6 months and my booking got cancelled Later I rebooked the vehicle and this time I have upgraded my Choice to the ZDI version of the vehicle.
But then Tata has launched Manza with very attractive frills like Integrated blue tooth, Driver information system , Automatic mirror adjustment etc..Little tempted with TATA Manza. We went to see the Vehicle at the Show room at Cocorde motors at Bangalore. We have got an opportunity to inspect the vehicle with poor sales person attention and inspected Swift Dzire again in RNS motors same day.
I could able to take a decision very quickly that my decision is to go ahead with Dzire .The reason is I could not able to feel the robustness of Dzire interiors with Manza irrespective of the frills and good rear leg space.
I took the delivery of my DZIRE ZDI this year in May I should thank Naveen the Show room Manager, Bimal who could able to bring my vehicle early. Because by that time the scaring waiting period was 8months.
My experience with my Dzire car
Every one mentioning about the turbo lag which can be sensed more in Third gear and once the engine speed crosses 2000RPm there is a sudden Zoom in pick up.
Good Road grip and good suspension.
Good ground clearance .Need to be more careful while riding Bumpy roads.
The inbuilt music system is good and I am not fanatic with high beats or sound.
The fibre seating has been changed to leather seating and I have done that.
Find little difficulty while parking as the rear visibility is low .Suggest to have a parking sensor.
7000KMs in around 9months.
Average milege with A/c -13.5km
Long drive milege 20.92 (max) with A/c .
First service done around 600Kms and they suggested us to change the engine oil costing around 920Rs.
The leg space is less but not a problem.
Could travel continuously with a robust drive in a heavy rain with high wiper speed
Have a very good boot space .Will know the real benefit when move with the family for a long trip.
The inside car will get mud and sand often and I have purchased a fibre mat kept at the floor and is easy for maintenance.
Got a few scratches in front pumber (left side blind spot) and near to the Back seat door got those scratches while parking.
I am not an adroit driver learned driving after taking this vehicle.I have took a long drive from Bangalore to Nagercoil spanning a one way distance of around 680KMs took almost 10.5 hours ride in NH7.I could consistently maintained the speed from 100 -120. In some places I have maintained 120-130.No one could feel such a high speed inside the car. Whereas my kids were jumping in the seat and family is enjoying the ride no one knows it is going that speed.
Alas, I have touched a high speed of 156 from Tirunelveli to Madurai route while returinig.Not able to believe thrilled I was waitching from the side mirror the cars behind me are suddenly become a match box size. I was only reading in the reviews whether such a speed is reachable or not .But yes I have experienced the speed.
I have some observations on the speed. No one from the car could feel the speed if we maintain a speed of 140kms.But breaking the limit as a driver I could able to feel some difference should be avoided such a high speed and I took a oath not to go beyond 120 KMs due to some experience in braking and kids falling inside the vehicle.
After all lot of questions might be asked by people for making an expensive purchase of Swift Dzire-Zdi Model rather gone for a Honda City or other cars in the Sedan Category.
Why ZDi?
· Automatic climate control.Recenly I travelled out from Bangalore to Dindigulby car early(foggy) morning .There was heavy fog outside the outside temperature is 13degrees where as we could able to maintain 25degress inside the car.
· ABS with EBD system
· Airbag
· Tilted steering
· Height adjustable seats.
· Steering mounted audio control(a frill).
· Very good customer experience and service relation ship with Bimal andMaruti.

The above review may look biased .But at the end of the day I am very much happy being the owner of the great car.
