I Purchased Chevrolet Cruz in 2011 at that time I was told about Mapmyindia Integrated GPS system (CZ-11) by the car dealer and I liked it as it had everything GPS, Video Audio etc...but after some time I started having problems and the system kept on malfunctioning, USB stopped working, at times the video dint come or it showed CD error, some times it kept on shuffling between CD & USB automatically , I kept on requesting the support team of mapmyindia for help and they kept on fooling me by telling me to restore the settings. but after 2 months of my purchase when for the first time I went out of the city the maps went blank, no roads not map was coming in the system, then I released that I was being fooled all the way.
and I contacted mapmyindia people and they kept on giving me excuses, gradually time passed and they still kept on dragging the issue that may be the map data is old so you can update it, when I checked the map data it was 2008 version where as I purchased the car in 2011 , then I requested for a free update and I was asked to pay 1200/- for the same , it took me 2 months to make them understand that I had purchased the system in 2011 then why was I given map of 2008 where as a latest version was already in the market, after contacting every person I could get hold on to in mumbai, pune and delhi I finally got the new map loaded, in between they used to keep telling me that your other problems were general and will be rectified, but nothing happened.
after loading the new version of the map I left for hyderabad the very next day from my city (NAGPUR) after about 100 km out of the city the maps started going blank, some times it kept on saying turn left in 70 mtrs then suddenly turn right...then finally it went blank, from my way to hyderabd I called the mapmyindia person and he told me that we will check once ur back, then after coming back again my fight began and I kept on requesting , every one to help me and do something about this system as at that point of time nothing was working in the system and my warranty was about to expire , but no one did anything , after the expiry of my warranty mapmyindia replaced my system , that too after my repeated requests, then the new system was installed in my car on 2nd October 2012, the very next day I called and emailed the mapmyindia people about the problems in the newly installed system and since then its 29 days they are only saying that some one would check the system very soon and rectify the problems. but nothing has been done as yet, and above all they say that the new system wouldn't have any warranty as it was replaced and was replaced after warranty period.
one more joke - the system price on MAPMYINDIA website is 39990/- were as I was given that system for 50,000/-
