I bought the GPS navigator from Mapmyindia about two years back. Initially it was giving me good support and I was able to navigate reasonably well but things changed after 6 months. The navigator started giving me wrong directions and I had to confirm by inquiring at road sides.
When I wanted to upgrade the maps(thinking that new maps would give me better accuracy). It came as a shock to me that for Mapmyindia devices the maps upgrades are a paid service unlike other navigators like tom tom where it is free for life.
The touch screen is of very bad quality and most of the time does not work or opens something different than intended.
GPS navigators are good only if the map update is free of cost. with a smartphone you will get updated maps always but it requires your internet constantly and smartphone may not work where mobile network is not available hence if you intend to travel cross country a good GPS navigator is still a better option but only when maps upgrades are free and there is good service available.
Pl dont go for Mapmyindia.
