Before coming to Mumbai I went to manglore for my cousins admission in NIT K surathkal, few kilometers away from manglore. After visiting that college & interacting with the students & staff realized if you want to do engineering do in NITs or IITs, although ts tough to get through the entrance tests not impossible if you seriously prepare for the test you will definitely get a seat in these colleges, my friend was lucky to get a seat in NIT in second & third session when he wrote the GATE entrance he had no knowledge of NITs & IITs for his post graduation.
To tell you about college, its awesome away from the noisy city, no disturbance at all & a wast campus of about 250 acres area, separate blocks for all departments such as CS, Civil, Mech, Electrical, EC, ...& the food in cafeteria was awesome I stayed in the campus for 2 days the experience was awesome. There are some old buildings.
The admission procedure was so neat & patient the staff were very of humble nature they patiently responded to all ur queries & provided all information regarding hostel facilities & all basic amenities inside the campus.In the campus itself there are three banks SBI, Canara Bank & I don't remember the other one. We got tired roaming around college in a single stretch I was roaming inside college intervals by taking breaks & visiting all branches & saw the various researches going on.
Best part of the college is its attached to the beach, we can reach the beach in few minutes as ts away from beach, there were nobody in the beach.there is a NITK stage attached to the beach where I think various cultural 7 other college activities are conducted.
In the next review I will write about the quality of education in NIT for my cousins batch & I will collect hidden information about the college life in NITK.
