I have hosted my personal website( http://www.jkspeaks.com) for the past one year with manashosting in Bangalore. I have been literally going through a nightmare all this while and now to shift out, the nightmare seems even worse. Reviews about manashosting is available all over the net now. "Please do not make the mistake of booking a webspace and domain with manashosting.com." They are the worst.
I have every proof(email interactions with the tech team and billing team) you will want about the kind of service you will receive from manashosting apart from the already available reviews in the internet. I have been desparately trying to get the auth code for my domain name to shift out of these guys and they are not giving me that. Isn't this abuse of others domain? When questioned, they say their systems are under maintenance and I need to wait. Its been under maintenance for almost 6 months now.
My domain name is about to expire next month and I have no clue as to what I am going to do to retrieve it. Please help. If anyone has any idea as to what could be done with this regard(legally or otherwise) please do share with everyone. I am sure there are hundreds more out there with a similar issue.
Also please do not forget to check out the following questions when you decide to book a domain: 1. How these people are able to provide unlimited space for their users which is not exactly possible? The space is allocated On Demand and that itself is a big problem for the users. If one tries to upload 50Mb of say pictures into their album, it gets stuck half way saying no space and one has to wait till the space is allocated. This is not conveyed to the users while booking the site.
- How long it takes to get the domain and FTP setup after making the payment? It took me over 10 days of interaction with the billing and tech team to get the whole thing setup and running. The worst thing that happened to my site was, the front page was defaced by their own tech team.
