Good old days.. again. Review on Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon Songs

Sooraj Barjatya at it again.. and at long last we get to hear some good indian music.. its not like they are instantly accepted exceptional songs that everybody will like.. but I believe they are the kind that grow on you.. there are a couple of rank bad songs but there are a few numbers that are indeed good. Will they work wonders.??

The songs in the album are all, from what it seems, situational. The first song, Meri zindagee mein Chali aayee.. is the kind of song that is an instant hit across India.. anytime. Is it cliched? I dont think so.. the song has got its charm... its own charm and does'nt sound borrowed ... credit to anu malik here... and to chitra who excels in this song...

then theres the ''Sanjana'' song.. which kinda sounds like the old shammi kapoor songs..but its got a kick of its own... KK does a good job singing this number...

''Bani Bani'' has an amazing rhythm and would be wonderful to watch.. the lyrics at times are good and other times are cliched.. but at least the sound is unique..

And then theres this shaan solo ''Aur Mohabbat hain'' which has very good lyrics and though is slow, its got a very good melody to it.. and is very pleasing... should be the most wonderful song to watch.. it has this old hindi songs feel to it.. anyone interested in those old kishore rafi romantic numbers should love this sing..

There is another real good track in ''O Ajnabi'' which is again a very new sound.. and has a good tune to sing to... there is a happy and a sad version of the same song.... beautiful number.. not like those kabhi khushi kabhi gham kinda songs which are at best khokla..

''husn ka maara hoon main'' is how the song ''ladka yeh kehta haon ladki se'' starts off.. its a good song to listen to again... and its this time in the shashi kapoor period romantic numbers mould.. playful and flirting numbers.. songs that should be nice to hum and whistle to...

''kasam ki kasam'' is perhaps the best in this collection.. it will grow on you when you keep listening to it coz its not the worst song you will hear in hindi films..

''papa ki pari'' will perhaps be the song that should count as the song thats worst on the album if you exclude the one coming up... ''prem prem prem'' where do these guys come up with such songs from? perhaps will fit into the movie but believe me you wont wanna listen to this again and again... and to think this is the title song.. well well.. should have left this from the colection.. is all I can say..

''bhtake panchi'' is just a short traditional song.. nothin much to scream about.. anyways... even with such songs in the album it is definitely recommended bcoz its got its beautiful moments.. good job Mr.Malik and Mr.Barjatya, cant wait to watch the movie.. should undoubtedly be the most awaited movie of the year.. and with the kind of cast too... can you wait?
