Well I had a grouse with movies, they never showed realities of life, this movie is full of realities, I loved the thought that husband and wife must stick together in thick and thin of life, sometimes promises of everlasting love seem hard to keep, but that is what life is all about. Do what you can but never loose the main purpose of life. Some temptations do come in life, this movie is made to high light Kareena Kapoor, what a job she did! she did everything perfectly, you could all the range of emotions on her face, pride, sad, dejected, happy, appreciative etc., etc., her arsenal is become very lethal, she is no more a prancing and dancing teenager. She deserves award for this film.
By now it is clear the title(Mai Aur Mrs.Khanna) the story is all about a woman, that woman is Raina(Kareena) how her life keeps pushing her to make tough decisions and there are few(mai) in our movie, one of the(mai) is Mr.Sameer Khanna itself this is Salman Khan, he almost looked like some(Malwani) type of person. Anyway he has a short role and he played it well as always. The pressure of reputation, bread and position is always potent in ones life, no matter who you are, where you
are these things push you over the top and you make tough decisions. The tough decisions sometime look hard for happy marriage, bonding together are the requirements of marriage. Now the acting part by Kareen and Salman in these situations was super and very perfect.
Music was one of the best part all thru the movie, the songs were delectable and background was simply super. Music kept glued all things together. I always enjoy seeing Nauheed Cyrusi, but it was guest role, there was another chick who are enjoyable to watch. I loved the special Whip and Slap sounds during sarcastic exchanges between characters, Yash Tonk is there lending his special magic, I like this guy, he is beyond versatile, very good actor, all the best to him.
Another(mai) in this movie is Akash Khanna( Suhail Khan) This guy is making me forget Garam Dharam, his face and aura emanates power and sense of awe, he has personality, the director Prem Soni used Suhail Khan with the kind of role used to be reserved for Dharminder in the past. He is naughty with a purpose Akash Khanna is a large type of guy, who makes every one look like a loser, guys like him are touch stone of success and failure. He is the type of person who lets everyone
call him names, I know few guys like this in real life, they are actually the people who make others look important, if people like this do not exist, the showoff hungry people will die unsatisfied. He is the ego maker for others. They make themselves look small at the cost of making others look big.
These type of people understand their hearts and also they understand the hearts of others they love, they give the actual due to issues as is deserved, not as desires dictate, to show all this on screen, Suhail did his job perfectly, when he is being accommodative to Mrs.Khanna, when he is hiding his love, when he is being pally pally with Yash Tonk.
Priety Zinta sizzles in her own right, she brightens the screen with her presence, I was much impressed with the star cast of this movie, Bappi Lahiri is present like a kind father. So we have wholesome movie, with many bits and bytes of magic laced with super music.
Yo! recession is on the wane, good times ahead enjoy!
