Part 3 :
500 Km completed , experience till this point:
Handling : Good and easy to park and maneuver through heavy traffic however need to get habitual as I was driving a cielo earlier
Space : great and interior are excellent .Internal space design is excellent however too much symmetry is there like: beside parking brake there are four holes, big ones for bottle and smaller for cigarette lighter etc. Looks like that some kind of SYMMETRICAL design was in mind..???
Look and feel: excellent, I have put an aggressive bull bar too which covers up to headlight. Back lights are good however reflector lights (standing) are only reflector and not lights, looks like some cheap design tactics to just add a new “modification”
Rear spoiler lights are good and now Truck / Bus driver watch your light carefully
Front bonnet scoop is again a gimmick and not a real scoop, air doesn’t pass to engine..
Anyway doesn’t bother me as I have not paid anything more for them
Music system : good for a person like me who is not very much “Music Maniac”, best thing is USB port which made my life easy.. I can use my flash memory stick to store and play up to 150 songs..
Ride Quality: improved but still needs improvement as rolling is still there, u need to put on seat belt always. Back suspension coil springs have their positive impact
Pick up: Great I am satisfies and surprised too..
Mileage: Giving 8km pl right now, actual will be known only after first servicing. I need to watch it better because till this point I haven’t tracked it properly.
Braking : Improved but not the best
Seating arrangement : I took 8 seater as you have couple of options of removing third row and sliding middle back for more leg room. However we two only travel most of the time.
Voice assisted system and lighting arrangements: footboard lighting is usefule as you can see where your are getting down, voice assited system is usefule for folks like me who forget to release hand brake completely (very often)
Why I took SLX and not DX: I hate plastic side cladding of DX. Actually it starts looking ugly after one year or so .Paint finish of SLX is better.
Tyre : Good and improved with tubeless in new model.
Driver position : Very good visibility on road.
Clutch : Not as hard as earlier version. Every morning press it for five sec and then release, it will be soft for whole day (oiling of system will be done)
Overall verdict : value for money. You get more value than money (truly speaking).I hate those folks who start comparing with CRV and tuscon. In 9.5 lakh this is the best SUV ( or say city SUV) available to supplement your ego and drive … happy motoring J

Part 2 : Today I got my car (17th May 2006) almost after eight week of booking. Noble Black SLX is a killer in first view itself, which makes you emotional immediately. Only one word came from heart..BEAUTIFUL For a moment I forgot my all hardship faced in last two months. ( Looks like waiting was worth..let us see.....) I booked a 8 seater and later started thinking about 7 seater.But two days ago when I compared between two standing side by side cars (7 and 8 Seaters) I found 8 seater is better : Why? I won't use this car for travelling of more than five persons.Mostly we two only use it. In 8 seater middle row is sliding, if you slide back to max extent , leg room is two inches more than 7 seater (has fixed middle row).Third row seat removal is quite easy, you have to just pull out at a particular angle and it is out. I am gonna keep it at home, until we really need it. This way boot space is huge , no irritating side seates, which eat up lot of space even when folded. Any how this seat plan looks ok to me,as those two three extra inches really made it luxurious middle row. I will invite comment on this seat plan from readers.
