Am surprised how nobody has ever written any review on the logan, it certainly deserves better. I have had the opportunity to drive the logan and been chauffeured in one over several long drives.here's my opinion on the car
really big car, and can even seat four people at the back when required. Its width is revealed only by the camry and accord. nothing else in india comes close.
Bargain basement price for the size. Reasonably good diesel engine, though its been known to give occasional problems with the fuel pump etc. Quite entertaining to drive on the highway, and you can easily reach 130 km/hr without realizing it as its great width offers good stability.
However, beyond 110km/hr it gets a bit skittish and can become a bit wavered and needs to be steered along.
reasonable mileage, between 12-14km in town and can be frugal on the highway if you don't give it the stick.
very large boot, and can transfer your entire house if required.
Does not feel rich, and the dashboard is quite drab and el-cheapo. Reasonably comfortable, especially for women, children and the elderly folk in the back feels like a large car, so long as you can get over the poor dashboard and the skimping of quality on the fit and finish, good for the price, certainly will be more reliable than the tata manza and tata indigo cls who are the main competitors hard to get over the horrible 1970s styling with the square edges and the large bonnet and rectangular lights.
It;s a top seller among middle class Europeans, so it is not a bad buy. The mahindra verito is supposed to be better finished and has some good colours, but that is another story. Ride on mates. regards from twincam.
