I am an NRI who got lasik surgery done here early this year. They are supposed to correct my short sightedness. Surgery went fine, care until surgery was fine despite the usual long waiting times as per the standards there. I had a pre lasik consultation where they are supposed to tell me about the post lasik expectations. They told me everything will be fine, sight will be gone etc. They told me two types of procedures one of them costs abt 25-30 and has less% of sight correction guarantee and the expensive one about 40k has 100% guarantee. It will provide crisp vision even to view night traffic lights than normal eye etc. So I obviously opted for the expensive one. After the surgery anyone would expect an indepth examination to see everything has gone well and eye is in perfect condition(pain, irritation apart). But to my surprise I had to ask the optician - Dr Norpat Solanki to test my eye sight. His reponse was " what do you mean checking eye sight? what do you want me to check? " sarcastically and presented the eye test chart( the one with letters in different sizes) and he turned himself to next patient, even wouldnt care how I respond to the chart. He wouldnt even listen me saying visible clearly or not. I was sent home saying sight is perfectly corrected. I then came back to my resident country after about 5-6 months, I got my eye sight tested. To my shock, the optician said my short sightedness turned to long sightedness but with less power and I should wear glasses. This is the last thing I would expect after going through the painful lasik procedure, wasting so much money etc. They wouldnt even respond to my calls after the surgery and I cant go there now to correct it as I reside in other country. So lack of post surgery care, lack of proper information are my concerns. I wouldnt really recommend them.
