Highly Immature!!. Review on MTV Love Ke Liye

Having been a regular viewer of MTV,im really disappointed ,to the extent to which it has deteriorated now,the reason might be the new shows introduced by the channel recently.The most childish of them being Love ke liye(LKL in short)which involves a guy/girl professing their love in many innovative ways posibble ,of course with the help of the MTV vj!!It has been ''inspired''by a similar show on Channel V;V crush..some of the episodes aired were...

1)A guy desperately wanting to win over his beloved opts to do so by exhibiting his strength in a 'kushti' with a professional wrestler.The poor girl who has no idea whatsoever of what she is gonna have to endure is brought or rather lured to the spot before the kushti .The fight ensues..the guy gets a bloody nose..and before he's bashed up further he's rescued by the Vj..hugs and kisses..end of story..

2)this episode was the height of idiocy..

A guy ,soon to be engaged wants to do something different,to express his love for his soon-to-be wife.Now this girl supposedly likes children,especially infants..so now the MTV crew dresses him up in baby clothes,namely..a diaper and a 'bib'...only!!Think this is dumb enough..it gets better..then he is strapped to the side of a van which is to take him through the city.Adding to the poor guy's misery the van stops at places inviting the people to write their comments on the space provided..bad idea...most of the people disapprove ,fewer people find it romantic..finally the van reaches the spot where the unsuspecting girlfriend is out shopping..a shopping spree which will be remembered by her for life thanks to her boyfriend..The episode ends by the guy telling the'still dazed with shock'girl to ''love him like a baby!!!'''

3)this is a recent one..but here the protagonist is a girl with a very strange accent..the location delhi at the time of the cold wave that struck a few months ago..the fashion chosen for expression of love was ..to swim across a pool filled with ice cubes (from one end to the other in that freezing climate)..kahani mein twist..the girl doesn't know how to swim..the boy friend is summoned to the spot..the girl dives into the pool..almost drowns once and is literally pulled out by the guy..but still she persists on ''showing her love''..finally triumphs..hugs and kisses..and tears(the boyfriend's)..another couple ''drowned in love''

4)This is the most recent one in which a girl extracts a rose for her boyfriend from amidst a bush of thorn..ouch!!!

Its a pity that this program ends after the feat has been performed,and often leaves us wondering that after these acts of love do the couple still stay together cos most of the times the guy/girl for whom these feats are being done are embarrassed beyond means.Personally I feel that love is very private and personal thing..not meant for being publicized and certainly not not to be glamorized..which is exactly what LKL does!!
