1.mts mblaze gives an upload speed of about 140 kbps and download speed of upto 500 kbps, (as per latest speed test on 23.06.2010) though they claim to provide a speed of upto 3.1 mbs.

2.mts mblaze has 20% less-costly than photon plus, but that is the only advantage.

3.network keeps fluctuating from sleep mode to hybrid to 1x even in a city like mumbai, in prime and posh locations of andheri west in mumbai.

  1. mts mblaze customer service is amateurish, unprofessional and is based in delhi, they have no call centre in mumbai. Their executives speak bad English and you will have to convey your complaints in hindi.

.

Mts mblaze promised the moon by giving 10gb usage for 30 days for rs. 1050, which is the best rate if you have been paying about 450 to 600 rupees for your fixed broadband service, because it is not bad if you are getting the freedom to take your internet where you are for about 500 rupees extra compared to your broadband fixed line service, and also national roaming that you get is beneficial.

But when i tried to recharge mts mblaze with rs.1050/-, it was not available, i get a message which reads:- sorry! Due to unavailability of pins, we are unable to process your request. Please try again after sometime.

Ridiculous that the above message with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle is appearing since sunday.

I was irritated and waiting for hours because i was trying to book tickets for 6 members in our family desperately and ultimately did not succeed. I lost the available tickets and had to change the total travel plan. Because, though makemytrip is free, https which is used for login is not free. It is charged. So you keep trying and you keep loosing money when you try to log in. You should have enough balance to be able to log in to yahoo.in or makemytrip.com though surfing may be free after logging in or before logging in.

I asked my cousin to recharge it from calcutta where she is, yet it did not happen. It showed the same error.

Free websites? Really? - though makemytrip.com is free, the catch lies here:- when you log in to the website i.e. Makemytrip.com or for that matter any free website like yahoo.in also, it uses a https:// which is the secure version of https://, and thus the data used while logging in is not free, because it treats https as a blind data which is not free at all. Thus if you keep trying to log in yahoo or makemytrip again and again, it will not happen and moreover, you will be poorer by 9 to 15 rupees per hour minimum or an average of 25 mbs for normal activity on the internet without any downloads of big files.

  1. Mts mblaze - i called up the customer service in mumbai on 9146126126, the call centre is in based in delhi, though the number is mumbai's local number, they speak with funny regional accents :) which is welcome, but if you are not a hindi speaker, you had it, sorry to my southern brethren who might be roaming in a hindi speaking area though hailing from a non-hindi speaking region. Well, let me continue with the actual experience, so when i called the customer service executive, the person on the phone said that "sir, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused, it might be that the pins have been exhausted".

I recharged with rs.595/- for 10 gb data free for 30 days but between 10 pm to 7 am (not suggested because you will become a night bird and loose your sleep thinking you have lot of work to do at night whih you lost in the day, if you are dependent on the internet). The recharge of rs.595 for 10 gb was successful. I asked the customer service executive the reason for the unavailability of the pin, which is also an inconvenience and tata mounts to cheating the consumers. He said, he is sorry and also added one more reason to pacify me that the minimum balance in your account should be in rupees 30 to 40 bracket. I remember vividly that i had the balance of rs.21 which i had because of my extra top up for safety which i had done of rs.299/- which got over in 3 days with normal browsing and pictures viewing. But even with a balance of rs.21 i kept trying to recharge, and recharging also requires https (secure http) which depleted my balance with every try that i made to rs.1. Ultimately i gave up because i lost rs.20 just trying to recharge. What is a big lie is that if rs.1050/- (of 10 gb free for 30 days) is not possible without a minimum balance then how come rs.595 recharge for 10 gb night plan for 30 days was successful? Any reply? None.

Why was it not written in the brochure, manual or on the website that a minimum balance is required to recharge a new data plan?7. Mts mblaze - if you think that it is easy to just click on check my balance on the interface and receive a message with your latest message, that's not right all the time. Why? Read on:- a) mts mblaze interface - when you click on check my balance, it shows 'sending sms...' popup and it takes long.
