I recently got introduced to 'shower gels' when my gf from India had got herself a 'loofah'.I was so intrigued by this fluffy thing that I wanted one myself. My parents got it for me along with a shower gel,as loofahs are meant to be used with it(I never knew that!).
'Power Me Up' is a bright orange shower gel contained in a see through bottle with a wavy cap.The packaging looks bulky but feminine(please keep in mind that outside India, the quantity of product is much larger).True to it's name, the colour of the liquid really refreshes your senses in a visual manner.
The gel in itself is pretty thick(in a good way) & lathers up very well.Less is more here,as even one blob of this product is capable of 'soaping up' enough dirt from atleast the upper half of the body(this depends upon one's build, but you get my point). The fragrance is a major plus point of this shower gel since the strong citrusy scent does stir up your inner aura. The label at the back states that this moisturises & energises your skin, leaving it looking youthful. Now let me just get the bunny straight out of the hat-YOU NEED TO MOISTURISE AFTER A SHOWER,NO MATTER WHAT!Almost all soaps & shower gels dry up your skin.By scrubbing off the dirt from your body, you also tend to remove certain oils from your surface. This product certainly does fall under the category of 'regular shower gels',so one is required to moisturise after this. Please don't keep your hopes up on any bathing item which promises to moisturise your skin(there are exceptions of course). After stepping out from the shower, the fragrance does linger around until you apply some other body product(please do!).You can catch the smell maximum for about fifteen to twenty minutes. The package I had was of 250 ml & I think it cost somewhere around 1 R.O. i.e. 100 Rs.(well, compared to India, things are expensive here). But all the prices here are arranged according as to the salary power,so for us in this part of the world the price is pretty normal.
This certain product does live up to Lux's trademark of pampering/spicing up your bath routine, nothing more.
Final grade- B+;this is more of a feel good product & darn,I sure feel good :)
