Firslty, I would like to say that I am extremely disappointed with the Lux Blue Starshine Shower Gel. I have been a regular user of Lux Body Wash and have tried almost all their Shower Gel products. Thats why I was surprised to find that whilst using the Blue Starshine my skin started to burn. I could not get the gel off fast enough. In result of this I was left with *skin burns which in time caused dermatitis. This I did not expect. I had purchased a few gels and moisturisers for Christmas presents also and mortified to think that I could be responsible for someone I knew experiencing the same discomfort as I had.
I have normal olive skin and certainly not dry. I have never been sensitive to any creams, gels or cosmetics before in the past, until using this product.
I am not suggesting that all Lux Shower Gels are like this one, but I do feel that the dark blue Starshine has added ingredients in it that would not be sutiable for most skin types. Maybes its Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Potassium hydroxide, Pyrocatechol. I am not sure but one thing is for sure I will not be recommending this product to family and friends just to be sure Maybe this is a ploy to make us purchase their moisturiser, dry our skin up so we are forced to purchase more porducts to resolve the dryness. The next question is, what is in the moisturiser? Where does it stop? When does our skin become free of nasty ingredients?
Overall not happy with the ingredients found in this product. Lux Body wash has let me down this time.
