I opted for BPL when Aircel started dictating terms on what they call deposits on usage. But I am disappointed that BPL is also rigorously following the same tread in this.
Both of them act as if they are part of DOT when they demand additional deposit when the usage exceeds their initial deposit. Shame in a country where people are opting for private telecom services, to get themselves free from such ridicules of Government Sectors. Paradoxically, even DOT does not demand immediate payment of additional deposits when the bill amount goes up.
You gentlemen.. don't you feel that the cellphone users are a class different and they won't run away? Do you want them not to use their cells extensively? What a stupid marketing ethic this is!
At least Aircel have not disconnected my link on this basis but BPL is threatening immediate disconnection. Result: I have stashed away their SIM card and am using only Aircel.
Gentlemen at BPL...please do realise that AIRCEL reaches the subscriber anywhere on road with their tall antenna, and powerful system. Without improving your network coverage, it is a stupid idea to be aggressive on the client on such flimsy score.
