Want to go far away from the Polluted City but don’t have enough time to travel? Than Lonavala is the best hill station. It’s just 100 km away from Bombay.
And now it is much easier to travel because of the new 33 km Express Highway which goes towards Pune (approximately 2 hrs. from Bombay)
You can go to Lonavala, Khandala by Train or by the Road.
It is famous for Green Valleys, Lakes, and waterfalls. And it is also famous for different varieties of Fudge (Chocolate with Walnut, Strawberry, Mango etc.) and Chikkis (a sweet made with Jaggery).
It is full of Natural Beauty with Deep Valleys on one side and High Hills on the other.
Bushi Dam is the main attraction in Lonavala. One has to be very careful at all the waterfalls from slipping down (other wise enjoy the hurting slide.)
Though it’s bright and sunny in Summers, the weather is always cool.
And in Monsoons, it’s watery and you can see small as well as large waterfalls every where it’s simply beautiful.
It is very cold and shivery in Winters, I just love the weather in winters it’s all Foggy and it’s amazing.
The Water, Grass and the Dewdrop on leaf shines in the Golden Sunrays.
I like to sit alone and admire the beauty of the Nature. Oh you really won’t feel like coming back.
