Sonia Shining!. Review on Lok Sabha

The Election results are finally out and your Dear Mamma is going to be next Prime Minister of India, The world?s largest Democracy. Instead of India, I am shining.

Our weird advertisements along with our slogan ??Congress ka haath, aam aadmi ke saath??(I actually got confused with aam as in mangoes) and those strange looking models who showed their right hand, didn?t really do wonders.. but people were not able to digest India Shining commercial!

Shri Narendra Modi, who does not have control over his tongue must be hiding somewhere.. Instead of their Gaurav Yatras and Bharat Uday Yatras, our campaigning showed, and the number 13, which has proved lucky for Atal Bihari Vajpayee, didn?t help this time. And May 13, 2004, the Astrologers who predicted BJP?s victory are nowhere to be seen!

Moreover, I would like to warn you about you marrying your columbian girlfriend. Because, people today call you half Indian, your kids will be one-quarter Indians!! So that will prove to be a threat to your political future!

The above letter was just a figment of my imagination.(as if you people didn?t guess it already), and I am not much into politics, but the 2004 Lok Sabha Elections were quite interesting. Even the India-Pakistan one day series lacked such unexpected results!

I didn?t really expect Sonia Gandhi to be our next Prime Minister and am still not able to digest the whole thing!No, the foreign origin is not the issue. Basically the thing is that she does not look as dynamic as the PM is supposed to be!! Prime Minister of our country does not even know the National Language

As far as BJP is concerned, if there is one person I hate the most, it is L. K. Advani. If people can imagine other leaders having Mafia connections, I believe that this man is an underworld don himself.

Our Preamble states We the people of India having solemnly resolved to constitute India as sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic and to secure to all its citizens : Justice - social, economical and political, Liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship, Equality of status and of oppurtunity, and to promote among them all Fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation.

We should ask ourselves the question. Do we follow even a millionth part of whatever is stated in our constitution? Some people claim that BJP lost because they didn?t have Hindutva as a topic for elections.. VHP accused BJP for breaking their trust by being lenient with Pakistan and putting Nation?s security in danger. All this will not lead to an unstable, not stable government. Individual interests should precede Nation?s interest.

I am not for or against any political party. I am only for My Country and so should each one of us be! We don?t need a Hung Parliament but we need Young Parliament. I can?t imagine our country run by Laloo Prasad Yadav, who I?ve heard is our next Home Minister!!

Instead of strong Political background, the leaders of our nation should have good Educational background and should be well read!! Instead of whining of past deeds, they should be rectified, if possible, and follow the PAR policy.. Problem, Action, Result.. and make India Shine in real sense!!

Moreover, as citizens of our country, we should exercise our right to vote and choose the appropriate leader. Weigh planning versus performance and then choose the Nath, i.e. Ruler for our country!! Because, democracy is for the people, by the people and of the people!
