Lohagad is one of the forts of Maharashtra state.Lohagad was in the rule by many leaders Yadavas,Nizams,Mughals and Marathas.
Shivaji Maharaj one of the most worshipped leader captured it in 1648, but he was forced to surrender it to Mughals in 1665 by treaty of purandar.
Shivaji Maharaj recaptured it in 1670 and used it is for keeping treasury. later it was used for residing purpose.
lohagad is the fort where you can visit it with your family and even with your friends.
The best time to visit is during rainy and winter season.
If you are planning to visit it by some vehicle like car or bike etc.There is parking space under the fort.
There is no lift facility you have to walk.
