I had misfortune of choosing Livspace for my home interiors. It all started in January 2018 when I got flat keys, we promptly engaged with them and started discussions. It was handled by Community MAnasultanger Mrs. Ashmita Banerjee and designer Ms. Nandini Singh.


I was looking for a hassle free and flawless handler for my home interior project as I was apprehensive about going with run of the mill interior shops, I was expecting a professional mAnasultangement and customer focused attitude. Livspace turned out to be everything but that. We discussed high level plan and a draft proposal based on that. After making initial booking amount in first week of February they went into oblivion till last week of February when I called them up on progress of project. In pretext of preparing drawings they consumed entire month and hastily put together something in last minute to show it to me. As I could see in drawings there were lot of flaws and lot of things they(didn’t) place in drawings without consulting me, for ex:  the drawing was missing lofts above wardrobes which is an essential component, it not only complete the looks but provide extra space too. There were several other changes too, it meant three weeks of time was completely wasted doing nothing. It took several rounds of meetings, discussions, proposals to arrive at an acceptable solution in last week of March. It was a torrid time as they always try to sell you the expensive stuff and never show you the efficient solution unless you push for it. Much of the interior work in the name of "Customized work" will be outsourced to a third-party vendor of their choice which will be obscenely overpriced. For example, the vendor quoted me the painting work for About 40K, I got the work done with same quality in 15K. From first week of April they went completely silent till about 3rd week of April. In the meantime, our main designer left the company and I was never told about it till one day I called her to discuss and she informed me about her status. I was just getting used to lack of professionalism of them.


By the 3rd week of April some changes happened in my professional life and I got offer to be transferred out of India for medium term hence I asked them to change the specifications to make the flat suited for rental purpose. Therefore, the project had to be scaled down and overall billing dropped.


As the ticket size of project dropped my community mAnasultanger too got change and it was Assigned to Mr. Surender Reddy. With that attitude too changed, and perhaps priority of project got dropped too.


By mid-May we finalized and accepted their default hellokids as I was quite tired dealing with them on iterations mode all these months and my Immigration dates were approaching. I just accepted their hellokids in one meeting as I knew any minor change would further delay, they take lot of time for modifications even then it is not guaranteed they will get it right, it is difficult for layman to understand their Bill of materials they send, we cannot figure out if they added  removed any component from last proposal. Overall very tedious and tiring process for the heck of planning. Eventually, mid of May formal order was raised and I took a sigh of relief. I had little idea my troubles were just starting. They take 8 - 10 week of time to manufacture and ship, please note this important detail for later. Nothing happened till end of June, I enquired status at that time and I was sent a aishwaryasingh23ment link. Without making aishwaryasingh23ment in "full" shipment won’t move I was told. They give policy reasons to complete the aishwaryasingh23ment before shipment can move. Policies which are skewed in favor of Livspace to trap the unsuspecting customers. By this time, I had serious doubts in their capability to deliver project on time, I wanted to hold back some aishwaryasingh23ment, but had no options, I was trapped. It was a blackmail conveyed in polite words. Full aishwaryasingh23ment was done, I waited for a week for status, no word from them though I was told it takes 3 days from aishwaryasingh23ment to reach the shipment. I was restless as time was running out for me, I made several calls, begged for timelines so I can plan things but all I got was lies and deception. On July 5th, I sent escalation email to their Hyderabad In charge certain Mr. Lakshminarayan. He acknowledged and promised action. I asked him to complete the installation by 16th July or refund my money. No reply from him, probably he too is product of same culture of deceiving customers. Livspace claims it just takes 3 days to install the products once consignment is landed. Consignment eventually land on 14th July after following ups and an escalation as above. My hopes were raised again, to be dashed soon. They had limited manpower and they were busy completing a project in nearby flat, I was taking satisfaction in the fact that I am not the only one getting cheated by them. Nothing happened except some customization work in Kitchen to remove existing slab and refix  it to make room for Kitchen installation. The claim of completing the installation in 3 days was already destroyed. Things moved in week of 23rd July, Master Bedroom, Kitchen was completed in space of two days. I went to Site on 26th July and found most of work completed, I was happy finally it is getting done. But no, why there are doors of wardrobe in Kids room were not fixed? On doing a quick audit I could not find required hinges needed to fix the doors. My suspicion grew, I called Mr. Reddy he was not aware of status and was under the impression by onsite vendors that installation is completed, again either he was lying or pretending. He supposedly checked and told me that parts were not in shipment and need to be shipped from warehouse in Bangalore. Till today the 4th of August I am waiting on those parts and installation is not completed. By this time, Kitchen skirting has left its place and lying around, one of the doors handle broke and need to be replaced. It all started in Last week of January 2018 and till today 4th August 2018 the project is waiting to be completed. I cannot go into details on how many times I have called Mr Surender Reddy and others in Livspace to get follow ups and status. Every time they promise to get back in 10 mins and that 10 mins never arrives. From past several weeks my precious time goes in following up, obtaining status and chasing these people all day. Once you make full aishwaryasingh23ment you become slave for them and they take full advantage of that fact. Their executives never get back with status and you will be at total mercy of them. I suspect my material was re-utilized to complete some other project, otherwise how can you justify short supply even after 10 weeks of shipping and so much planning time. Do not trust the rosy reviews here about "dream home", "Converting dreams into reality" etc. these are fake reviews and by Anasultanlyzing vocabulary in them you can easily know Livspace spending money on manufactured reviews. From top mAnasultangement to down they tell lies without blinking an eye, you may trust them with your money and take care of your home but all you will get is lies, deceit and falsehood. Their community mAnasultanger Mr. Surender Reddy who have full responsibility of project don’t even know the basics of paralleling tasks to save time, I have to tell him on phone on work he can get completed with 3rd party vendor till shipment is not moving or waiting for install. If you respect your time, money, energy and your Dream home purchased from your hard-earned money do not let Livspace come near you. I have lost lot of money as I had to aishwaryasingh23 EMIs and rent and I have no way to receive compensation for it unless Consumer court helps me.


In case you still make unfortunate decision to go with them after this feedback, since you may have infinite time, money, patience and love dealing with cheaters. Here are few tips to consider




  • Never order for the furniture from them as it will increase the project billing which automatically increase the handling fees.




-"Custom work" is extremely overpriced and not worth it. Do your own research and select the vendor to do the "Customization work" of your choice. You may need to put effort to select the material from open market, it will be worth your efforts.




  • Enter into the legal contract with proper timelines, penalty and refund clauses in place. Do not give into their one-sided policies which are designed to cheat customers and rob their money.




Final words, do not let Livspace fool you with their swanky claims, website and fake stories. They are designed to trap customers, apply your judgement and make informed decision. Either they don’t have clue of project or they pretend. Either case, customer is the loser.
