I have been buying from letsbuy.com for quite some time now. I have to admit that the experiences with letsbuy.com initially were pleasant. Product delivery was quicker, courier chosen was better and pricing did appear more competitive than the counterparts.
Sadly, the above mentioned traits and features have begun to fade and my recent experience have been pretty ordinary. There was an electronics item that I ordered recently and it took a total of 7 working days for delivery.
The site mentions 2-4 days on every product of its but the processing as the well as the delivery time seems to be increasing with every order placed now. Besides this, I have found that sites like ebay.in are offering same products relatively lower price than Letsbuy.com.
Letsbuy.com relies on'Aramex' courier the service of which is extremely slow if the destination is Pune. After my ordered product arrived in Pune office(shipped from Bangalore) of Aramex courier, they delivered it on the 4th day of it. Is it not slower than snail mail?
I had thought of the above as an isolated incident but now, my belief about the slow service of Letsbuy is getting consolidated.
I had ordered another product on 26th of Feb 2012 and not to my surprise(knowing how Letsbuy operates now), the order status is still'In process' which means - The product has not even been dispatched until today(Update - today is 3rd march and my order is stlll'In process'). I think they will dispatch it and hand over the delivering responsbility to Aramex couriers which, in other words means - 4 more days after the dispatch. This is boring.
If you want quicker deliveries, the other websites are better. They also give you discount coupons which makes it even more inviting for a user to shop. Speaking of discount coupons, Letsbuy for some I used to recommend my friends to buy from Letsbuy.com but it goes without saying that I will not do so now.reason had given 10 discount coupons(of 10% each) to one of my friends. I am not sure what their criterion is for distributing discount coupons too.
