After having worn the shoes for more than two years, I stopped using them and hopped on to other brands. The pair kept lying unattended and uncared for. Then the planning for a bullet motorcycle trip to the treacherous valleys of lahaul-spiti kicked in.
I thought of giving the lee cooper boots the cremation they aptly deserved by putting them to the extreme abuse and exploitation that the ride among wilderness of the valleys had on offer. Needless to say, the boots stood the times, and not even a seam came off during the ordeal in which the boots were continuously submerged in ice and went white with fifteen days of abuse. Once back in civilization, I bought a pot of cherry black polish, and invested half of it on the boots. They had not lost shape, and the luster came back after the treatment. Its been more than another year and the shoes are still with me.
I have had another pair on which a dog chewed leisurely and almost chewed off the ear. But the loss remained limited to that as long as I used the pair. I had eventually to throw away the paIr because the shoes would simply refuse to wear and tear and meet their normal demise.
The premise is that you ought to buy from a brick and mortar shop only. Online buying opens you up to spurious products. I recommend lee cooper anytime more than woodlands. Woodlands are not only priced higher, but also meaure way lower on durability. I have bought many woodlands and found them getting wasted within a year of mild office use. They certainly won't stand to any hardships.
