In old era 60s 70s no award was given to singer in bollywod because bollywod copied hollywood type of award format where no songs and singing present in hollywood movies. Lata mangeshkar strike on that issue and due to her struggle award in singing category statred in bollywood award ceremony. She sing so well that you fell like some devine coming to you via ear.
She is very nice woman who follow truely indian traditions. Her living style is respectable in all over world. She is a woman who deserved all respect that we gave to god. Woman like her are blessing to indian society. Her voice is pure as holly water. My blessing with her that she may live thousands of year.
