Hirani had so much on his shoulders .. after the roaring success of MB-MBBS he had to comeup with something of the same standard if not bigger.. does this one meet our expectations ? read on ...
So what are Munna and Circuit upto this time ? Munna is in love with a famous RJ Jhanvi.. and to get her love, he pretends to be a professor and a Gandhian.Jhanvi invites Munna to come to her home[where she lives with a few oldies, whose families have abandoned them] to give them a lecture on Mahatma Gandhi. Munna is in a fix now..uski to vaat lag gai Mammu ! Circuit comes up with an idea he drops Munnabhai at a library, where he comes face to face with Gandhiji. Will Gandhiji be able to solve Munna's problems ? Watch to find out..
I was somewhat disappointed with this flick..it is not as good as the first one...but still a gr8 job .. MBMBBS was an out-and-out comedy and LRMB is comedy plus drama and emotions. Some scenes could have been easily edited out, esp the song in which they go to Goa and somes scenes between Vidya and Sanjay werent needed at all.The director has tired to create lovey dovey scenes and atmosphere but that hasnt quite worked out.. there wasnt much chemistry between S-V. shaking head Unnecessary ronna-dhonna, I didnt understand y ppl were crying when Munnabhai solves Jimmy's problems confused
Characters :
Munna- Sanju was excellent. I cant imagine anyone else as Munnabhai.His scenes and dialogues were gr8 and he played his part to perfection.One of his best scene was the one in which he sayz about how his lost his father...ah it was touchy !
Circuit- Arshad Warsi is soo funny .. I love him more and more each time he comes on the screen..
Lucky- was played by Boman Irani .... he was good but I was kinda disappointed with his character..nowhere near the Dean he played in MB-MBBS.
Jhanvi- Vidya luked pretty thruout .. acted her part well.Her makeup was kewl.
Dilip Prabhavalkar - He was good as Gandhiji.
Rest of them were good, did what they were supposed to.Jimmy, kulbushan karbanda, Saurabh and all the oldage home peepz did well. Dia looked gorg, and her wedding dress was awesome I didnt knw that Abhi was doing a cameo .. tat made me soo happy .. (thanks to my work schedules I didnt get time to login...).He look sooo handsome and hot hot hot !
Songs:
Were average..some went well with the situation, but I wudnt have minded if they were edited out..but yeah, Pal Pal was melodious[but wasnt needed].
Favourites Scenes:
All scenes where Circuit pretends that he can see Mahatma Gandhi as well.
The scene where Munna sayz sorry to circuit[the best in the movie ]
When Gandhiji appears before Munna and he calls him fancy dress.
the Get well soon scene.
The press conference.
the spitting scene.
tats all I can think of now its 1 am yawn
Final Verdict:
Definately worth a watch.. 1 for Munna .. 2 for Circuit and 3 re-experience the Gandhian philosophy.
