We were planning to take home loan fromLIC housing finance(Bangalore office) in my wife's name and we applied too. But, at the end we came to know that we did a big mistake by choosing LIC for home loans because of the following reasons:
They delay your application like anything for some silly reasons. We had to wait for 5 weeks before we decided that we should approach some other bank
Non professional - people are not at all professional. Every day you may have to call them to find whether they received any requirements from head office for the day on this loan:-(
They dont commit on a day when you can go for registration! Wait wait wait!
WE got a sanction letter and one week later they called up to inform, the applicant is not having eligibility so they have to include my name in the form, so again one more round of processing!
One should have atleast 3 months if you are going for LIC home loans. and you should really followup on a daily basis. When we raised our tone, one of the executive(should I call them executives) said. this will not work in LIC. you should calmly wait without asking questions for getting a loan. now you decide, whether you should go for LIC HF for home loans?
