Upon arrival, he levied a fee of ₹472 and indicated that both the drainage motor and sensor system had sustained damage, necessitating a total replacement cost of ₹3500. Seeking a second opinion, we consulted a local washing machine expert, who astutely observed that the issue lay with an improper drainage pipe outlet. Swiftly rectifying the situation, he redirected the pipe to drain into the bathroom, restoring proper function to the machine. Notably, this service came free of charge. This experience raises doubts about the necessity of the proposed replacement by the LG engineer. It is uncertain whether the suggested repairs were genuinely required or if an unnecessary component replacement was on the table. This instance underscores the cautionary lesson to avoid engaging company technicians, who might prove ineffectual. Opting for local technicians is advisable, as they offer competent repairs at reasonable rates. Trust in company technicians wavers due to suspicions of inadequate training or a lack of practical problem-solving skills. In contrast, our local expert not only resolved the issue but also provided insight into its root cause.
