Research details.
I bought this WM this january. It's been two month's now . I had done lot of comparison b/w IFB and LG front loaders. Did not find enough good reviews about IFB as almost many were complaining its service and performance.And many of my relatives owning IFB said it is better to choose someother company.Found some satisfying reviews about LG and as my sis is using one she gave her happy reviews .
I had read that every electronic shop give a diff range of price. It was very true in my case. I bought it from Adishwars marathahalli. They gave us at 4000/- less than any other place. There was some new year discount going on at ezone, pai etc and thought it is good time to buy. They were coting around 28 to 29 thousand.. We bought it at 25000.
*Service.
*The delivery was on time. The LG demonstrator was also on time. I read that usually at the time of installation they scare you to buy some stuffs for its better maintanance. But nothing as such happened. the guy came , installed it.. explained all the dos and donts and left.
On his arrival I asked him for a stand and body cover. But he suggested not to use a stand especially for front loaders as it vibrates more than a top loader. And the stand might give extra vibration which will cause some problems later. We listened to him and yes the vibration is very less .
But the guy said the company does not provide any cover , he would get it from some other place and said it would cost around 450. so we did not buy any.
*Performance
Pros...
* There are around 7 diff options . And I have so far used only 4. since all our clothes are cotton I have used cotton mode; Quick 30;Handwash and delicate, along with other options like extra rince and prewash.
Quick 30 is useful if the clothes are not soiled at all. And the water content is not removed completely .
Hand wash options is meant for undergarments and some very soft materials, as they say in this the clothes dont get tangled much. But even in cotton option the clothes dont get tangled and both use same amount of water and time.
Delicate I did not find it useful for me so far.
So I usually use Cotton mode+prewash+rinse+ with 40 degree temp it takes around 1hr 45 mins. And my clothes are really fresh and clean. And also the clothes are almost dry.
The machine makes a very minimum sound while spinning, that sometimes I forget that the machine is on.
Cons....
I had difficulties to fit the water inlet pipe to our tap and had to get some extra fittings done to the pipe where I had to get it fixed. Though it has a adjustable pin to fix it to the tap , if the size is not matched water will ooz out. Now it is fine.
There is no indication like a beep sound when the machine is done washing, and since the sound is very minimal we need to check on ourselves.
