I bought this phone 6 months back. I choose it over the HTC Wildfire which was at the time a cheaper option because The phone body was nicer and comfortable.
I have since then regretted this purchase close to every single day. I love the Android Platform and am a huge fan of how easy and efficient the interface it but have had too many problems with the phone. I am close to throwing it out and buying another phone even if its not a smartphone. This phone has really tortured me.
The phone hangs all the time. And the issue is it hangs when I am not using it. When it hangs the screen freezes in the unlock phone and displays the time when the phone hung. If I am working and do not constantly check my phone I do not come to know when it hung, its only when I pick it up to use it do I realize that the time now is 4:50 pm.and my phone hung at 3. While the phone is in that frozen hung state if anyone calls me they are connected and hear a ring which goes unanswered. To unhang the phone I have to either pull out the battery or continuously keep the power button pressed till I see the android startup screen which usually takes atlest 8- 10 seconds. By the time the phone restarts its easily been 2-3 minutes. This is rather annoying cause I usually need the phone at that minute to make a call, or take a number which I cannot. To add to the troubles all the calls that I missed( because the phone did not ring but people got the entire ring) are not listed in my log. So I cannot even know who all tried to call me.
The sd card slot unmounts and mounts on its own. Umpteen no of times a day(when the phone does not freeze and I am able to use it) I suddenly get a msg saying sd card was suddenly unmounted. This is annoying because all the apps that are on the sd card stop working. And the phone does not have enough space in the memory to keep too many apps so the more important ones I have to pick. Not to mention I cannot remove apps like bollywoodji which gives me useless information and updates all the time and takes space that I would rather give to a Different app.
On more than one occasion My phone redial's the last no I spoke to.(no its not in my pocket and I have not even put it in a bag where it can accidentally dial someone. The phone is lying on the table. And sure enough the call is listed in my log.when people don't get a reply they call back which is how I figure it called them.
Battery Life is not very Great.
GPS especially while using google maps is very unreliable. The signal just goes away at some point of time and your locations stops being updated. SO you drive for the longest and realise wit i'm not moving. You would have realized sooner but you are driving so you're not staring at your phone all the time.
A camera without a flash is just sad.! day time pictures are alright. A lot of apps in the android market just makes it better and nicer to use.
The anti slip back is a nice thing although when it was sold to me I was told it was a scratch proof surface.which is not true.it can and does get scratches.
The processor is Kind of slow and opening documents and pdf's is painful.
One of the most annoying things about the phone is if someone calls you and you have to take down a number on the phone itself you open the dailpad and type the no only to realize when the call is cut the screen returns to the home screen and the no you copied is lost. Trying to beat the system I tried saving the no first and then cutting the call, however when you are on a call and have opened the Dialpad there is no option to save the no. SO you better make sure you have a notepad or a pen nearby.
The Data cable does not work on the Mac OSX. The phone is not visible at all so you need to have windows or you can get used to transferring all content via blue tooth.
All in all.I am not at all happy with the phone. A lot of times during calls the clariy of sound is lesser than the noise.
I'm sooo upset with this phone.
