Have been using this phone since Dec 2013. Didn't have a reason to complain till a few weeks back when it fell and the truth about the phone was revealed. Let me be very clear, I am not venting, I am giving an honest opinion based on having ACTUALLY owned this product. Here is my experience.

Software & Performance: Getting Kit Kat out of the box is nice.and the phone is pretty fast. It won't take you time to get used to it because its pretty simple to figure out. The speeds of the phone are good and it does not hang. While multi tasking I have noticed a bit of lag when it comes to switching between emoticons and keypads in chat services like whatsapp, hangouts and fb messenger. It does not have an fm tuner so that's pretty dumb.

Hardware: Well its pretty ok but the speaker volumes are pretty low. Not really that great in this department. The touchscreen is pretty good and the styling is nice. Very sleek but here comes the problem!

The Problem Yes the styling is really nice and sleek but guess what. you can never see it. Why? Simple, you cannot use this phone without a cover. I have a Nexus 5 which I used for 6-7 months and one day it fell from about 2ft and the glass is completely smashed. The truth here is that the glass on the nexus 5 is more fragile than anything you may have ever seen. Why is this a problem? The problem lies in the fact that all the demos that the manufacturer of Gorilla Glass 3 has done lead you to believe that this glass is pretty tough and damage resistant but it really is not. it shatters with the most minor Impact. Once it happens to you, you will try, like I did, to move Google or LG to help you out but the fact is that Google will deny responsibility since its a hardware issue and LG will just tell you that physical damage is not covered by warranty and you have to pay for a new glass.

I got in touch with LG and sent them mail regarding this issue, after the first few responses they started ignoring me. Then when I got in touch with them through facebook they arranged for someone to call me and basically tell me to go to hell, they will not replace the phone.

Verdict: Now even though I like the phone phone, having had this experience with LG and seeing how the glass performs in the real world I would say that it is NOT WORTH THE MONEY and if you are planning on buying it be warned that the glass is not tough. Its delicate and will shatter on minor impacts. If you feel I am ranting then just go search for others who have had the same problem and they all say that the glass is disappointingly fragile.

Do yourself a favour and but something else. Other companies also provide stock android phones. But LG is not worth the headache.
