The LG Slim 29" TV(29FD7RGE) CRT(Cathode ray tube) television is a 29" television with effective viewing area of around 26.5" only. So if you take a tape and measure the diagonal length it will be 26.5". The TV is great as normal 29" TV are huge very very heavy and one person cannot lift or even move it, the deapth is around 24" or more so if you have small room it takes a huge space.
This is where this TV from LG is slim. The deapth is only 16" which is even less than the popular 21" TV. It will easily fit on your existing 21" TV table. Also the looks of this TV is great it more of less gives you the look of the LCD TV.
The picture quality is great and has golden eye that automatically select the brightness depending upon the light around. The only problem with TV is sound is bad and does not have much fidelity. I do not understand why LG has not put a decent sound output on this TV.
The sound sometime is not very clear and the high pitch sound gets completely muffeled. If you increase the bass the output is very bad. I think the speaker provided is of very bad quality. I ended up connecting the TV sound out to my home theater and then it becomes a very good TV to watch.
