L'attitude : I am still not sure if it pronounced as Lattitude or the French way le attitude. Nevermind! some localites of bangalore would surely be acquainted with 'shrungar complex' and some serious Live band bar linkers would even know 'Blue Fox'. With all due regards the fox is dead. folks! presenting L'attitude, the brand new place to party and rejuvenate your spirits. The interiors reminds us of those 70's clubs (as seen in movies) with heavy chairs, usage of Eastman type of colours and huge pillars with mosaic. I noticed a very innovative semi seating arrangement, where instead of all chairs, the tables are close to the circular wall and a huge cushion embedded to the wall, which makes it very convenient for people to rest and bigger groups/gangs to 'operate' from a single table. Good idea.
Also the place is renovated but the internal structure is amazing with a circular hall, a high roof and huge pillars adding to the retro look. Discotheque is the first floor and is open only on Wednesdays and weekends and is of course 'Couples only'. Starting at 9PM the heart pounding, foot stomping, hip movin' music starts pulling you towards the dance floor and will not let you out till you drop. The DJs (guy and a girl) did a great job by starting off with HIP-HOP remixes progressing to hardcore Trance as the night goes by. People start flowing in after 10 and keep coming even after midnight. It is very impressive to see energy levels of some folks who dance all night. It was about 2AM when we left the place after a fantastic evening. I was amazed to see that the place was jam packed even at that time. I guess it closes at around 4 or so.
Pricing is something like : Rs.500/- (cover charge) per couple. Retrolouge is the other part of L'attitude. This section as it sounds is more for non dance savvy folks. This is on the ground floor and is a replica of the first floor of structure with a different look but the same 70s theme. If you have had a bad day in office or elsewhere this is the place to go. Soothing music and the mild air conditioning instantly relaxes and 'weakens' you.
Definitely not for all.
RL is open all week, I guess it worth picking up an fight with somebody and chill out in this place. Pricey but not bad. It was great fun spending the night in L'attitude. It you haven't been there yet, hmmm.. I guess you can still make it (and don't forget to take that special somebody along).
