Malabar Hotel - Probably the god's own restaurant :-p Excuse me, but this one is not a swanky joint in koramangala but a very respectable restaurant for the masses in one of the busiest business areas of the city: Balepet. The chances are non-bangaloreans wouldn't have heard of Balepet let alone...Read more

Hilal is on our very own Broadway (Shivaji Nagar) Hilal looks like a typical 'kaka' hotel as most locals would guess. I guess it is not. Now what is a 'kaka' hotel is out of scope of this text but we'll talk more about Hilal now. Frankly, it is not a place where you can take your Wife/Girl/Etc a...Read more

Anupam's Coastal Express - Located at a rather non descript spot in the metropolis, is this nice sea food restaurant called Anupam's Coastal Express whose forte is Mangalorean Cusine. deserves a paragraph too. She is the most enigmatic of all the characters and the cause for the twist(s) in the tale. Honestly I still don't understand most of her motives...! A fantastic book anyway.

I am not in favour of any brand my friend. I know about the philips quality and also that they invented the CD. But have you ever listened to a philips system? It sucks! God knows who invented the brush.. But da vinci etc sure came out with better stuff than that fella. ;-) don't you think? L'attitude : I am still not sure if it pronounced as Lattitude or the French way le attitude. Nevermind! some localites of bangalore would surely be acquainted with 'shrungar complex' and some serious Live band bar linkers would even know 'Blue Fox'. With all due regards the fox is dead. folks! ...Read more

Roshan is a bangalore based freelance audio consultant.. Speakers costed about 10k for a pair.. an audiophile friend of mine suggested I go for an onkyo player/amp unit and these speakers. But I had already bought a cd player by then. Anyway these are cheap and best systems. A cousin of mine ...bought a BOSE 501 HT recently and I was not at all impressed with the quality of sound.. esp for that kinda price. Don't go by brands dude. kjRead More

Too bad about the e-Card. but the Tele-banking service offered by Citibank, is pathetic. they are making it more and more difficult and cumbersome for their customers to reach the bank. entering the Tpin twice, and their inpenetrable Interactive Tele-menus with a 3 second timeout is horrible. Tha...ts it my friend, the true colours of these MNCs are really beginning to show. Suggestion : Don't really worry about using your credit card on the Net. in case you are not aware of the things like https sites, they are very secure and nobody has hacked into them yet, since I work on these things I can confidently suggest you to go ahead and use you card online. Only thing to look for is : in your Browser make sure the current site's url starts with 'https://' otherwise don't bother. Smile. KjRead More
