This is one particular serial that has been dragged long for four years. I wonder how many years more this serial is going to continue considering that the directors are moving the serial more ahead 20 years. Yet again the same story to be repeated again. (Just like I said in my review of Kasautii Zindagi KII).
Dropping TRP's are the main reasons for the unexpected twist in serials. When a few years ago the serial started loosing its shine, a character called MIhir was killed & then due to his popularity he was bought back after being declared dead!
After that once again when the TRP started dropping the serial made an unexpected jump ahead & again gained the number one position. I always wonder how these serials gain the number one position. The serials were meant to portray a typical Indian Middle class joint family & a story about their life. But what we see here makes me laugh.
The middle class family leaves in a huge bungalow, when the people leaving in it grow twenty years old only their hairstyle changes & they have a few grey strands & nothing more changes. Come on lady this is not possible even if you use best cosmetics available. The height was when in a recent episode a guy was shown raping his own wife! Is this a typical Indian middle class family that was meant to be portrayed?
I am writing this review so that I can tell you what's going to happen in next 2 months in this serial so that you can save the trouble of watching it or save someone from getting frustrated by watching it. In the next two months lots of monologues go on in the so called 'Virani' family regarding the death of a son in law & also the rape of a daughter in law.
The eldest daughter in law of the family, 'Tulsi Virani' who considers herself a self image of Mother India tries to get everything under control. But during this time she discovers that it was her own son (who suddenly came into the serial from nowhere after 20 years) named 'Ansh' had killed her son in law.
Tulsi ji trying to act Mother India again kills her own son for that particular misdeed. The character of 'Ansh' ends here (poor guy must be frustrated with his role & would be glad to move out). I too was glad when I heard this, that this would end the serial. But what I heard next was more shocking.
The story will be moved still further 20 years (Oh God!). This time they are trying to get the original 'Mihir'(Amar Upadhyay) back as Tulsi devi's grandson. This is the same guy who had once played the role of Tulsi's husband now he will play his grandson. Whew! This all will be continued till Jan 2005. Just to convey this much they will take 3 months & look at the time I took to convey it to you!
Looks like we will have to bear this serial & its characters a couple of years more. I hope all serials starting with ''k' end on one single day & we have to hear no more ''k'' serials again in our life?s
