BAD experience in business class

I'll devide this into several categories so you can judge this airline your self rather than having a headache reading my whole story.


Booking & Prices: Compared to other business class fares (Emirates or United Airlines for example) the fares were pricy, you could not book your seat online like other airlines (you have to call Kuwait Airways office to book your seat), then the system asks for your passport information while booking online to add more pressure on you.


Finally, when the booking is over, you receive 2 e-mails rather than one from Kuwait Airways to confuse you and make sure you never book with them again!! (No other airline asks for your passport information while booking with them and then sends you 2 e-mails rather than one after paying for the fare!!!) Here's a tip though: print the "E-Ticket" e-mail which should be the 2nd e-mail you recieve from Kuwait Airways. Refund process was a headache, if you DO NOT live in Kuwait, then forget about cancelling your ticket and getting your refund because Kuwait Airways doesn't even read it's e-mail. You have to call Kuwait Airways main-office in order to get your refund processed which is sadly to say, a lot of pain.


Check-in: Like other airlines, I had my own check-in area with red carpet and comfortable seats to sit in with some newspapers and magazines. Everything was smooth and comfortable (This is only available in Kuwait Airport.) However, be informed that the SMS service they claim to offer in their website is just an ad, I NEVER recieved SMS about my flight before departure and I just arrived to Kuwait from another country via Kuwait Airways.


Lounge Access: Unlike other airlines such as jazeera airways and emirates, Kuwait Airways does not offer you the best lounge access while flying with them. However, this does not mean that the lounge they offer you is completly poor though. (Simply put not best lounge access that's all)


Onboard services (Seats, Flight & Cabin crew, dining, entertainment system, etc.): I was seated at seat 7K(Window Seat). Safety video was incomplete (missed visual parts, however, audio was complete), my seat was broken (as soon as I placed my back on the seat it automatically reclined without even pressing the reclining button!!!! and TV screen did not work as expected). As soon as the aircraft departed my seat again automatically reclined while flying (ensuring that safety is their last priority) and the aircraft (A300) was shaking during the first 30 minutes of the flight (ensuring you get scared before their final part). Dining was extremly poor compared to economy class dining!!!! and again, my partner's TV screen did not work at all who sat beside me!!!. Had to ask 2 different cabin crews for a wet tissue before getting some. Aircraft was dirty and toilets were extremly poor. Stewards upgraded 2 girls from economy class - FIRST CLASS FOR FREE!!! (We pay for first/business class fares and economy passengers get it for free!!!, thanks but I think I'm sticking with Emirates or British Airways next time since Kuwait Airways does not treat everyone equally!!!) Finally, when we were landing, rather than slowing down, the pilot actually DID NOT apply air brakes before touching down the runway so basically when we touched down, it was a rough and hard touch where people actually started screaming!!!. However, one of the good things of this airline is that they offer jacket service (They store your jacket during the entire flight if you don't feel like wearing it) so I was happy that they offered me this service and they treated jackets with care. However, internet service (for those of you who like to take your laptop everywhere with you) is not provided onboard nor a power source so if internet and electronic devices are important to you, you should find another airline that provides these services onboard.

Luggage priority and handling:As promissed (unlike jazeera airways plus cabin) my luggage arrived exactly after first class passenger's luggage so I did not have to wait long for my luggage to arrive. That's one of the best things of this airline.


Conclusion: Pricy and not so friendly online booking, smooth and friendly check-in counters, fine lounge access, poor onboard crew and services, good luggage priority & handling. No! I would not recommend you fly with this airline because I forgot to mention that in business class you don't get wet tissue + normal tissue while dining but you do get wet tissue + normal tissue while dining in economy class (since when airlines treated economy class passengers better than business class?)
