Yesterday I walked in to a nearby multiplex with a dilemma of watching sequel of two of my fav movies, i was in a dilemma to choose which one should I go for should I select R rated comedy Hangover 2 or a 3d animated Kung fu panda 2, both of these movies have created enough buzz in intenational market as well as in India the result of which I had to stand for a good 15 mins in a long queue .
After lot of speculation I decided to go for kung fu panda 2 and man wasn't I right? Though I had lot of expectations from this movie but I must admit it exceeded all my expectation, those 1hr 30mins were pure bliss.
In short it was just Awesome .
I'm writing this review with an assumption that people who would be reading this review will be already acquainted with the characters of this movie, however I will just give a quick recap from the first installment of this franchisee
kungfu panda 1 was all about A clumsy panda bear who becomes an unlikely kung fu hero when a treacherous enemy spreads chaos throughout the countryside in this animated martial arts adventure featuring the voices of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, and Jackie Chan., We also came across the Furious Five legends(other characters of the movie) Tigress(Jolie), Crane(David Cross), Mantis(Seth Rogen), Viper(Lucy Liu), Monkey(Chan), and their wise Master Shifu(Hoffman), all draw on their vast knowledge of fighting skills in order to transform a fat, lazy panda bear into a lethal fighting machine.
In this second chapter, Po the Panda(Jack Black) is now The Dragon Master, living alongside his idols The Furious FIve - Tigress, Monkey, Mantis Viper and Crane.
The Furious Five(and Po) soon learn of the evil Lord Shen’s(Gary Oldman) return - a wicked kung fu master who is connected to the wolf bandits, and has developed a new weapon that could conquer both kung fu and China itself. The Furious Six set off for the city to stop Shen and save the day.
Whats Hot: Everything of this movie is so endearing that you leave the cinema hall with a feel good factor and believe me that feel good factor sticks with you for a very very long time, This movie has all that you need to see in a good family entertainer be it humour, emotional moments, great visuals, excellent voice over, funny moments you name it and its there .
==Whats Not: ==I might sound like a fan boy but trust me there is not even a single dull moment, even if you want to you will still find it difficult to point out a single dull moment in those 1hr 30 mins, not suprising my wife(i still remember her disapproving expression when I choosed kungfu panda 2 over hangover2) who herself is not so in favour of animated movies ended up enjoying the movie more than me.
==My final verdict: ==Leave everything aside this vaccation and make a trip with your family/friends to your nearest multiplex to watch this movie and I assure you that you will not come dissapoined .
