This winter...a chill will run down your spine. Review on Kucch To Hai

Balaji Film`s Kucch To Hai is a romantic thriller movie.This movie has been produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.They have made lots of successful serials under the banner of Balaji telefilms.Their serials such as Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi or Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii are typical family dramas about the relationships of saas_bahu etc.but in their movie,there are no emotions or saas bahu relationship.The movie stars Tusshar Kapoor,Esha Deol and a new comer Natasha.The movie is said to be a remake of Scream or I know what you did last summer.

The truth is that this movie is not a remake of any other movie.It is a very different movie and for Bollywood fans it`s something new. The story of the movie is about six friends (Tusshar Kapoor,Esha Deol,Natasha,Yash Tonk,Ashay Chitre and Vrajesh Hirjee)who study in the same college and the same class in Shimla.Tashu(Natassha) loves Karan(Tusshar Kapoor)where as Karan loves Tanya(Esha Deol).When all the friends are doing their annual assessments,Yash(Yash Tonk)gives his paper to Karan.Professer Bakshi(Rishi Kapoor)is the invigilator at that time and when he sees that cheating is going on,Tanya tells him that she was cheating and so Karan gets out of trouble.Karan does not like that Tanya could not do her examinations.He decides to go to Professor Bakshi`s house to change Tanya`s answer sheet because Proffesor Bakshi has all the examination papers with him.Karan knows that he will face a great difficulty as Proffesor Bakshi is a dangerous person who killed his wife.When Karan is changing the papers,Proffesor Bakshi witnessess everything.When Karan realizes this he runs away and Professor Bakshi starts following him.All the friends sit in the car and try to run away but accidentally they kill Professor Bakshi when the car hits him.After three years,Professor Bakshi returns again to kill all the six friends.

Anil.V.Kumar and Anurag Bose`s direction is excellent because they have passed to make the movie gripping.Fawzia Fathima`s cinematography is superb!Ganesh Acharya`s choreography is good.The script is very different.The picturisation of the songs is very good.Anu Malik`s music is tuneful.The soundtrack of the movie,all in all is nice.

And now the performances!Tusshar as Karan is excellent in this role and this role has suited him very well.Esha Deol(as Tanya)has improved a lot and so her performance is good.Newcomer Natasha(as Tashu)acts very well and she looks sweet and beatutiful.She has acted in Balaji Telefilm`s serial Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Saheli and with a complete new look,she has entered bollywood.Yash Tonk(as Yash),the guy from the popular and famous Ekta Kapoor serial Kaahin Kissii Roz who plays the role of Kunal and Kuljit acts very well in this movie.Vrajesh Hirjee as Pat performs very well with confidence.Kusumit Sana(as Dolly),the girl who stars in the serial Kasautii Zindagi Kay is too good in the humorous role she has got in this movie.Her cell phone idea is original and cute!Ashay Chitre as Kush is competent.Johnny Lever as Popatlal is superb in the movie.Moon Moon Sen as Madam Saxena is O.K.Jeetendra as Tusshar`s father is good.Rishi Kapoor in the role of Professor Bakshi is effective.

On the whole,Kucch To Hai will be appreciated by everyone who want something different from Bollywood especially teen_agers would enjoy this movie as there is no melodrama and cheap horror scenes in the movie as Jaani Dushman had.This movie is excellent and I highly recommend it.
