I happenned to be a transit passenger both onward and return journey and found that it was a pleasant experience in this airport.

The airport is very neatly maintained, spacious and the staff are all the more helping. It is an ultra modern consturction with multple buildings for various terminals towards various destinations. There are in-airport trains to transport you across these terminals. There are multiple display legends about arrivals and departures along with their time and terminal numebrs together with how to reach those terminals. You really don't need to ask any one for any kind of help. Things are so meticulously arranged that you will not need any help from airport personnel.

And for the passengers, a good number of counters are available so that the waiting time is almost nil.

Please make sure to declare the value of all the currency and travellers cheques in current figures (atleast approximate, if not very accurate) failing which you are liable for detention by the airport authorities.

I found this airport better than Newar International Airport, US in all respects.

I suggest to all MouthShutters who travel to US to pick up their tickets from Malaysian Airlines and utilize the opportunity to drop in at this airport. If you are lucky enough to get a break journey for more than 8 hours, it is all the more desirable, for you could visit the world's tallest buildings (Twin Towers) in KaulaLumpur and caves (I don't remember the name) where you could feel the presence of Indian culture with a couple of ancient Indian temples.

Sadly, I really doubt if any Indian international airport can reach such a level, if not the infrastructure, atleast basic facilities like drinking water, toilets and the helping nature of airport staff towards the passengers.
