Kolhapur, a famous and joyous city of India in the western ghats was famous during the region of Rajashi Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj. We can easily go by our private cars, government buses, even by air, train. It takes 10-11 hours from Mumbai by train. There are regular state and private buses that ply between Kolhapur to Mumbai. Very spacious hotels like 3 stars, budget hotels, restaurants are ideally located in the heart of this city. Some are even located on the top of the beautiful Panhala Hills. Some are extremely close to the Railway station and Central Bus stand.
