I did not find any review on this here, probably not yet appeared in India. If you are looking for an ultrazoom digital cam and you want some manual controls+ lots of scene modes+ a good flash (you can fix external also) and the ability to shoot videos (dont compare with cam coders) then I would suggest you consider this.

Kodak introduced this model last year in US, after the success of DX6490. This is the advanced model of the former with more features but surprisingly smaller than the former in size!!.

When I came here in US last month I did a lot of research online to find out the camera that fits my needs. Now I will tell you why I chose this.

2.2 Inch LCD, I need this its really big,

10x optical zoom+ 3x digital zoom- you get a lot of things near to you to snap.

good looking camera-- lot of scene modes (14 modes)

A good improved rechargable battery.

A relly good printed manual ( this is important if you are really intersted in taking good pictures)

decent video mode (mpeg4)

Red eye reduction

External flash support.

user friendly

and above all manual mode for you to experiment.

some other things that I bought separately includes,

512 MB SD memory card ( I can store upto 300 pics in 5 MGPix

and a portable tripod -without this your ultra zoomed pictures will be shaky.

kodak offers this with DOCK and without DOCK. I bought a DOCK but I feel you can do without this. all you need is the battery charger (comes along when DOCK is not opted) and their USB cable to transfer pics to computer. I got it online for around $450 with all the accessories mentioned.

As I said I am not very sure if this is available in India right now. But I am sure It will be coming soon. Go for it if photography is not just ''Point and Shoot'' for you.

take care...
