How many times have you had the pleasure of seeing something that you really wish you could share with a loved one, but when you ran for your camera you found it out of film? That?s happened to me more times that I would care to remember. But after years of trying to study up on digital cameras, reading peoples likes and dislikes, I finally decided on purchasing one of my own. I work with graphics, and have seen what the pixels on regular film prints look like, so I knew that any digital about 3 mega pixels would be a great improvement over the film cameras.

The Camera I chose

The Kodak CX7430 is a wonderful powerhouse of possibilities.

This camera specifications are as follows:

::4.0 megapixel picture

::Quality prints up to 20 x 30 inches.

::Auto focus 1.6 inches/4cm indoor/outdoor color display

Auto orientation: On-camera picture rotation 16 MB internal memory

Close- up Mode 5.1 inches or 13 cm Burst capture: 6

Flash: Built in Image capture: JPEG, EXIF 2.2

Battery options: lithium, NI-MH battery pack, Kodak Max digital Video out

So What Does All That Mean?

It means that you can feel confident to snap about any picture anywhere you wish and it come out pretty well. Thus far I have really been thrilled with my new camera.

I have not tried the video audio recording option as of yet, but have tried everything else and are very satisfied.

To Buy Dock, Or Not To Buy Dock

There is an optional docking system that you can purchase to go with this camera. However, I haven?t chosen to buy one as of yet. The dock is suppose to recharge your batteries if they are rechargeable as well as make transferring your pictures to your computer easier.

Some docks even have print options. Since I wanted to move away from paper pictures whenever possible, I chose not to buy the docking system. I simply plug my camera in a USB port on my computer with the cord that comes with the camera, and then download the pictures directly onto my computer.

The camera comes with it?s own software to help make this easy.

Over All I would highly recommend this handy little camera. It easily fits in one hand, is always ready to go and the best part for me is I never have to worry about film or developing again.
