I bought a Kent water purifier in 2014, which had a one-year warranty. It was okay till then. Even then every time we called for any service, they would ensure we incur some additional cost for something or the other. After the warranty period was over, when we shifted house I called their service number and they sent someone to fix it in the new place.
It has been two months since then. There have been at least five visits so far. No problem is solved in one visit and every time they ensure I pay in thousands from my pocket. The latest problem was that there was heavy leakage due to a valve coming out. Someone came and fixed it. On the same day, another valve on the side came out.
This time when I called them, someone came and said it would cost some 3000 Rs. He also said some filter is gone. We recently changed a filter also. When we told him about that, he said that was another filter and this is a different filter. There was a new beep sound, which was not there earlier. I am 100% sure this new sound was introduced by him. I can’t spend thousands of rupees every time so I decided to throw it and buy from Eureka Forbes this time. When I checked with the guy, how much would they buy it back for, he said, “1000 Rs.” I am shocked that a product that was bought for 16000 Rs from Kent is worth only 1000 Rs after completing a year. Just thought I will complain it to the right people before I shift loyalty.
