If you are here and read all the negative ratings for this product, you would have probably stay away from buying it. And a sage decision it will be. Alas, I didn't read it at the right time.

The product basically has non existent service. Once you buy it, it works until it works. The day it goes out, that's it. Back to the days of 40 bucks a bottle of mineral water and all your thoughts of  ROI will be down the drain. And you will rue why doesn't the useless thing doesn't go down the drain too, at least it will save you the trouble of disposing it.

So how long will it last? Depends. if you are lucky more than a year perhaps. For me it was 8 months. Then if you call the service station, you will be told up front that warranty is basically useless. You have to pay for whatever the changes are to be made. They will come after a lot of follow up. Replace something, charge you min 500 and it will work perhaps like a week and again you do it all over again.

Another reason why you should avoid it is that the main osmosis unit, the place where water is pumped through to remove minerals is from Dow Chemicals. yes the same company involved in Bhopal gas tragedy. If that tragedy is not big enough reason for you to quell the urge to buy it, from the health perspective its not that great either.

Human body needs nutrients from water. That's the bottom line. Once the water goes from a complete reverse osmosis, all its nutrients are lost, the good ones along with the ugly ones. Now its your choice whether you want to live without those. Kent guys tell us that they avoid this problem by mixing the distilled water with some of the rejected water. Yeah, they call it a fancy name. Mineral exchange or something like that. Mareketers! Any way, what it means that you will have some purification. Complete purification(they have an option for this. some setting inside machine) is any way not great for you for it will taste bland for one, and completely without essential minerals. So whether this process  of purification is really good is debatable.

In India however, it can make sense. But I went through the Kent site once. While digging in it I found some quality tests certificates these guys have. it were the kind of medical certis you and me used to have to show to those strict admins in college to get leaves you know. We can get em. Not very believable is what I mean to say. Unfortunately there is no nodal agency in India like US where you get your water checked. That will get some things straight.

Not getting into all this, the crux of the matter is if you buy something it should either last or have great service. That you wont find in this. For a small life it doesnt make sense. or as taxi drivers say in bangalore. waparta nahin hai!
