I bought my KENT Water Purifier in July 2007 for my new baby. I dint want to go through the usual process of boiling and cooling water. And as we were going to buy a water purifier, my husband suggested KENT as it turns bore water into sweet drinking water.
I was a bit apprehensive about the price. I was going through the available water purifier options and was desperately searching for reviews. Some were good and some were bad but anyhow I went ahead and bought KENT.
It costed me around 15000 including a extra filter which is fitted outside the KENT to filtre the water before it enters the machine. It is not actually neccessary but since the water was coming directly from the tank on the terrace, I wanted to filter out any big paticles before the water enters the machine.
It is going to be apprx 2 years now and there is no complain from it. Cleaning that extra filter is also very easy. The salesman explained everything and he drops by , every 6 months to see if it is working properly. We also have a salt content switch by which we can adjust the salt ratio in the water.
It stores around 8 liters of water in the storage tank and automatically switches off when the tank is full so you dont have to wait to turn it off. When the tank level goes down a bit, it restarts automatically and fills it back.
The only one con is that it will need an outlet for the waste water pipe . The thing is , it filters the salt and makes the water clean and disposes the more salty water. For example, in a bucket of water, maybe 1 or 2 jugs of water will be waste.
The waste water pipe can be put into a plant or sink. But believe me, this is nothing when compared to the heavenly feeling we get when we drink a glass of pure clean sweet n sparkling water. I just cant live without it now.
