I had to rush to the nearest doctor just after two days I shifted to a new flat; reason was throat and stomach infection due to the impure water consumption, When I was informed by the doctor; I was surprised “how can it be possible? I am using Aquaguard water purifier at home, so it’s not possible that I am having impure water for drinking.” This was my first reaction.


I was using Aquaguard classic model for last 5 years, and I had a complete believe that I am consuming proper drinking water.Then the doctor gave me two choices, either I will boil the water before drinking, or get a RO water purifier.


I have taken option two and got a KENT RO water purifier at home, it was excellent, the total TDS of water was 750 before purification, and it was just 35 after purification.


The water was crystal clear after purification, and the taste was sweet.


Every thing was going good for the last 3 months; suddenly one day I made a mistake to call a service engineer from Keypee enterprises (the local Kent dealer in Pune) for the regular servicing of machine, and all trouble started here.


Day one: in the midnight I heard a sound of water falling, I just went to the kitchen, and I saw that the machine was on and its water tank was overflowed, just after 5-6 hours of first servicing the electronic relay failed to automatically stop the machine once it reached to the full level. I switched off the main supply of machine.


Day Two: in the morning, first I made a call to the kaypee enterprises, informed the problem, the lady sitting at the other end answered me that my problem will address in 24 hours, nobody came to address the problem, in the evening around 6 pm I again called kaypee enterprises, same lady told me that since all the schedules of their good for nothing engineers are already occupied and hence they have assigned my issue for the next day. Meanwhile I was having boiled water (the first choice doctor suggested me).


Day Three: service engineer came to my home at 5:30 pm, he did some thing and the machine was started working, machine stopped once the tank filled. He left.


Day Four: machine did not start after the tank was dry, again called the same lady from customer support, again got the same promise of addressing my problem in 24 hours, nobody came, still having boiled water.


Day Five: engineer (useless) came in the morning, again he did something, machine started, this time he has given me his mobile no. to contact him if again some thing happens. He left.


Day Six: machine is working proper, now I am having RO water, also got a feedback call from kaypee enterprises, I said “every thing is working fine, thanks”, around 9 pm water tank was dry, but its not started working, just stopped.


Day Seven: called useless service engineer, he replied I have to first register my problem with the dealer, and then he will come. No options; called the support lady, this time asked to provide me the phone numbers of their head office in Noida. She said they don’t have any contact no. of Noida head office, I searched in their website, and got a phone no. I called that no. but the person sitting there told me that they don’t address problems from out side Noida, but he gave me phone no. of the dealers head Mr. Manish Lama, I called that person but some one from reception told me that he is gone for a tour and will be available from Monday. And suddenly my call gone on a hold, after some time another person responded and asked “ha.. kya problem hai aap ki (what is your problem)”, I said “I have a problem with the local service” he said “ are dealer se related problem to apane dave ji dekhte hai lekin who bhi yaha nahin hai aap Monday ke baad phone karna (hey all dealer related problems are address by mr. dave, but he is not here, you call after Monday). Finally I send a message through their contact us form in the website, I don’t know if some one is really going to read that message or not. But here again the same useless guy (service engineer) came in the afternoon, he did some thing in the machine and it’s started working. Now this is the evening time around 6:30, I am sitting in my office and just now I got a call from my wife that she has taken out two bottles of water from Kent but it’s not started as it should start automatically even if a single glass of water is taken out.


I am helpless; these so called service engineers made my excellent product a trouble for me. And there is nobody from their (KENT RO) seniors to listen at my problem.


I used to service my old Aquaguard on my own, as it has a simple mechanism and parts (a carben filled cylinder, a paper cylinder, a UV lamp and a PCB), but since KENT has an advanced technology, its mechanism is hard to understand for its users. And hence we are more dependent on these falls service engineers and agencies. And unfortunately KENT has no regulatory over these local agencies, that’s why you’re product is your own responsibility. Cross your fingers unless it’s working well and by any chance if something goes wrong …… that’s all I have to say.
