Kemmangundi(2nd trip of My Engneering days) . Review on Kemmanagundi

It was November we went to this place(Kemmangundi a hill station in Chikmanglur district, Kanataka) in bikes with 12 friends, I have visited this place more than 6 times, when ever I visit each time, the weather looks different & got different experiences each time.We went there in 6 bikes as it was winter season it was very cold, we were fully packed with jackets & caps.As it kemmangundi was just 150 kmm, we left Davangere around 5 Am & reached kallatgiri at 7 am & got freshed up in the falls & went to ganesh temple in kallatgiri.

In kemmangundi the first thing you get is the guest house & after that if you go up you get Rose garden which is neatly maintained by horticulture department, this place is well maintained & many movie songs have been shooted here & one or the other shooting will be going on there in my vsits I have seen 3-4 times, the amintenance people wll warn you are touching any plants or flowers, but if its shooting time they can, touch or even pluk & dance wth all plants & flowers.

Another Place to visit in kemmangundi is the Z point, if you are strong enough in trekking then only you have to go there, otherwise you will get tired in the middle, there is no route to Z point, you should ake your own route & that too in winter season, there will be lot of weeds & the route will be very slippery, so be careful when your on to Z point in winter season.

When you reach Z point, the view you get from the top, one cannot express in words about that scene, you will be there in the middle of clouds, it will look like a heaven & one should visit Z point in there lifetime.If you want to see heaven on earth coe to this Z point in wnter season.full greenary, clouds moving around you, chilling weather, the silence, away from all cities disturbances, ....you will surely enjoy.

Precautions:

Wear tight well gripped shoes,

Cover your body as much as possible,

Carry salt along with you & a matchbox.

Because you wiill get n number of leatches on the way to Z point, the penetrate into your body & you will not come to know it has entered, untill beediing starts from that place & dont panic, they will come out after sometime.To avoid this be careful when you are walking if you get any leach pour salt on it & rub it it will dye, if try removing it from your skin it will get divided into two.so Be careful & carry salt, match box, ....
