It was the month of October 2012, I was searching new destination for trekking & traveling because it was holiday time here. Often I prefer to trek so, I was figuring out many destinations and suddenly an idea had come that was Kedarnath temple.
The Kedarnath temple is situated on the bank of Mandakini River near to Garhwal Himaliyan range at Rudraprayag District In Uttarakhand.
I had trekked 14 km from Gaurikund. Gaurikund is a pilgrimage site and base camp for trekking to Kedarnath temple, Kedarnath is 14km from Gaurikud on foot.
BEST TIME TO VISIT. The temple is opened only between the ends of APRIL to usually NOVEMBER duo to extreme weather condition.
HOW TO REACH KEDARNATH TEMPLE.
Most of the devotees consider that Haridwar is the entry route to Kedarnath hence start their holy journey from Haridwar.

ACCOMMODATION.
There are many private and Government guest house there.
I have got opportunity to visit Kedarnath two times 2005 and 2012. AVOID TRAVELING DURING RAINY SEASON.
